How to use:

Step 1: Please select the activated date of your pass upon ordering, which is the first date of use
Step 2: Pick up your pass at the branches of Travel Expert
Step 3: You can get 50% discount on different areas when you present your Half fare card and identification prove
Step 4: Check the schedule in advance in order to know whether you need to reserve a seat or not
Step 5: Present your pass to the staffs before getting on
 

Seat reservation：

• Reservations are required on most high speed, international, scenic, and night trains. Local and regional trains do not require reservations
• You can check the timetable and make a reservation on RailEurope up to 3 months before departure
• Reservations will incur extra fees, click here to get more information
• If you hope to reduce the transportation fees, you can have a look on the trains which do not require reservations
   

Precautions:

• The name provided must be the same as the name on the passport
• Your residence and passport number will be printed on the Swiss Half Fare Card. Please ensure that the informaton is correct
• Validity: within 1 month (start from the first date)

• Kids aged 0-5 and do not occupied a seat are free of charge
• Child ticket: aged 6-15
• Youth ticket: aged 16-25
• Children aged 6-15 can travel for free with at least 1 parent (including stepparents and foster parents) holding Swiss Travel Pass
   

2. Benefits

• Free admission to 500 museums
• Guests can access to scenic routes, including Bernina Express, Glacier Express, Golden Pass, Gotthard Panorama Express, Chocolate Train, Centovalli Express, and Lötschberger. Please be noted that reservations are compulsory on most scenic trains and the fees are variable by trains)
• 25-50% discount on mountain top excursions
• Special Passholder fares on TGV Lyria (France – Switzerland TGV), No passholder fare on services from Geneva and Basel. This bonus is also valid for Swiss Transfer Ticket holders (who have to use a day of transfer)
• The 50% discount is not valid on tickets purchased before the first travel day or after the last travel day. It is ONLY valid between the first and last days of travel

• No cancellation is allowed once the booking is confirmed
• Refund can only be applied for the non-use ticket, 15% of the ticket price + $150 per ticket will be charged as supplier and Travel Expert service fee.
