Highlights
Snow Corridor Walk
At an altitude of 2,450 meters, Tateyama Murodo is one of Japan's most renowned heavy snowfall areas. "Otani," located near Murodo, experiences deep snow accumulation exceeding 20 meters due to wind conditions. After the roads are cleared, towering snow walls approximately 20 meters high are formed on both sides, known as the "Snow Corridor."
A pedestrian-only path, the Otani Route, is available about 500 meters from Murodo Station. Visitors can enjoy a scenic walk, touching and admiring the magnificent snow walls.
※ High-altitude areas may cause altitude sickness. Travelers with related medical conditions should consult a medical professional before joining the tour.
Tateyama Kurobe Alpine Route
The Tateyama Kurobe Alpine Route is a world-famous mountain sightseeing route, spanning peaks over 3,000 meters high and crossing the entire Northern Japan Alps. The total length is approximately 37.2 km, with a maximum elevation difference of 1,975 meters. The entire route is located within the Chubu Sangaku National Park.
This tour follows a round-trip route from Omachi City, Nagano Prefecture, starting at Ogizawa Station. Enjoy breathtaking landscapes and the grand natural beauty of Tateyama Kurobe from above the clouds.
Kurobe Dam
Known as "Kuroyon," Kurobe Dam is the tallest dam in Japan. It took seven years, 1,000 million laborers, and 51.3 billion yen to complete. It remains one of the most iconic attractions along the Alpine Route.
Kamikochi
Located in Matsumoto City, Nagano Prefecture, at an altitude of 1,500 meters, Kamikochi is one of Japan's most spectacular mountain scenic spots. It has been designated a National Cultural Property (Special Scenic Beauty & Special Natural Monument) by the Japanese government.
