Itinerary Details:
Morning: East Lake Cherry Blossom Garden
The East Lake Cherry Blossom Garden is located at the southern foot of the East Lake Moshan Scenic Area, a national 5A-level scenic spot. Covering an area of 260 acres, the garden is home to 10,000 cherry blossom trees, most of which were jointly planted by China and Japan in 1998. Recognized as one of the world's top three cherry blossom destinations, alongside Hirosaki in Japan and Washington D.C. in the United States, the garden features over 300 weeping cherry trees blooming by the lakeside and streams. These "waterfall cherry blossoms" create a stunning visual harmony with the water, forming a picturesque landscape.
Spring has arrived, and it's cherry blossom season again! The East Lake Cherry Blossom Garden, one of the world's top three cherry blossom destinations, spans 520 acres and boasts 10,000 cherry trees of 60 varieties, including rare species like Yuhime Weeping Cherry, Yaehizakura Weeping Cherry, Kanzan Cherry, and Yunnan Early Cherry.
During the Cherry Blossom Festival, the garden is a sea of blooming flowers, with petals dancing in the spring breeze. During the day, the cherry blossoms create a spectacular sight, resembling rosy clouds. The garden also features elegant attractions such as Xiaochi Xizhou, Xunyinghua Stream, Pingqiao Wobo, and Yansheng Bridge.
Afternoon: Flower Expo (Huabo Hui)
Located at No. 1, Tianxing Village, Caidian District, Wuhan, the Flower Expo is a national 4A-level tourist attraction that integrates flower tourism, creative agricultural experiences, rural wellness retreats, family-friendly leisure activities, beautiful countryside experiences, flower trade exhibitions, and cultural heritage.
Step into Wuhan Flower Expo, and you'll feel like you've entered a sea of flowers. This destination not only features seasonal flower fields but also romantic European-style castles and churches, transporting visitors to Europe. Highlights include the popular high-altitude glass bridge, the Snail Paradise for fun and excitement, and a Ferris wheel perfect for couples to enjoy romantic moments. Each season offers different floral themes: tulips, poppies, and lupines in spring; verbena, zinnias, and cleome in summer; lilies, sunflowers, and amaranth in autumn; and pansies in winter. Notably, the 150-acre verbena flower field is a must-visit Instagram spot in Wuhan.
Evening: Jianghan Road Pedestrian Street
Jianghan Road Pedestrian Street, known as "China's No. 1 Pedestrian Street," is located in the heart of Hankou, Wuhan. Stretching 1,600 meters from Yanjiang Avenue in the south to Jiefang Avenue in the north, it connects Zhongshan Avenue and Jinghan Avenue.
