★- - - ★【Akita Kanto Matsuri (Seat Viewing)】★- - - ★

Event Dates: August 3, 2025 – August 6, 2025

Young people dressed in white socks perform a spectacular display by balancing large, bright kanto lanterns (up to 13 meters tall and weighing around 60 kg) on their shoulders, waists, or foreheads. The procession forms a river of light on the main streets, and the lanterns are designed to resemble golden rice ears when combined with the poles.

Event Dates: August 2, 2025 – August 7, 2025

The Aomori Nebuta Matsuri, designated as an important intangible folk cultural asset in 1980, attracts over 3 million visitors from around the world. Over 20 large Nebuta lanterns featuring Kabuki, historical, or mythical themes will parade through the streets. Musicians and performers, accompanied by the HANETO dancers, will bring to life the tale of "Sakagami Tamuramaro" in a magnificent procession, all set to the rhythm of the "rasseraa" chant.

★- - - ★【Aomori Nebuta Matsuri Fireworks on the Water (Seat Viewing)】★- - - ★

Event Date: August 7, 2025

On the final day of the Aomori Nebuta Matsuri, the award-winning Nebuta lantern floats will be moved onto ships and parade through Aomori Port. At the same time, around 11,000 fireworks will be launched, marking the grand finale of this magnificent celebration.

★- - - ★【Sendai Tanabata Matsuri (Free Viewing)】★- - - ★

Event Dates: August 6, 2025 – August 8, 2025

Various handmade, elaborate Tanabata decorations, some over 10 meters tall, will be hung all around the city. The cost of each decoration, which includes bamboo items, ranges from several hundred thousand yen to several million yen, creating a competition for the most luxurious displays.

★- - - ★【Yamagata Hanagasa Matsuri (Free Viewing)】★- - - ★

Event Dates: August 5, 2025 – August 7, 2025

With the loud chanting and the majestic sound of the Hanagasa Taiko drums, this festival features over 10,000 dancers in colorful costumes, each holding a decorative flower hat, performing along the main streets of Yamagata city. The parade is led by elaborately decorated floats.

Itinerary Overview

Day 1

• Meeting Time: 40 minutes before departure of the Shinkansen.
• Depart from Tokyo Station or Ueno Station (11:00 – 13:06 departure)【Tohoku Shinkansen, Reserved Ordinary Seat】.
• Depart from Omiya Station (11:25 – 13:25 departure), arriving at Yamagata Station (closest station to the festival).
• Shopping (about 20 minutes).
• Arrive at Tendo Onsen (around 15:10, early check-in).
• Early dinner at the hotel.
• Yamagata Hanagasa Matsuri (Free Viewing / Enjoy beautiful dances with the Hanagasa leader, about 90 minutes).
• Arrive at Tendo Onsen Hotel between 22:00 and 23:00.

No lunch on Day 1, please prepare and eat on the train (self-catered).

If a temporary train is required, the meeting point will change to Ueno Station.

Early dinner is arranged to allow for festival viewing in the evening.

Arrival at the hotel will be late at night (around 23:00–25:00).

Day 2

• Depart at 10:00.
• Visit Yamadera (approx. 70 minutes).
• Dinner in Akita city (approx. 50 minutes).
• Akita Kanto Matsuri (Seat Viewing / Enjoy the spectacular kanto lantern performance, about 100 minutes).
• Arrive at Tsunagi Onsen (around 23:30).

Bus travel distance on Day 2: Approx. 380 km.

Lunch will be at a rest area (e.g., roadside station) along the way (self-catered).

Day 3

• Depart at 10:00.
• Aomori Nebuta Matsuri (Seat Viewing / Enjoy the powerful Nebuta lantern floats).
• Free sightseeing in Aomori city.
• Early dinner in Aomori city.
• Aomori Nebuta Matsuri Fireworks on the Water.
• Arrive at Tsunagi Onsen (around midnight).

Bus travel distance on Day 3: Approx. 370 km.

Day 4

• Depart after 10:00.
• Sendai Tanabata Matsuri (Free Viewing / Enjoy the beautifully decorated "City of Forests").
• Depart from Sendai Station【Tohoku Shinkansen, Reserved Ordinary Seat】.
• Arrive at Omiya Station (17:39 – 19:23).
• Arrive at Ueno or Tokyo Station (around 17:58 – 19:48).

Bus travel distance on Day 4: Approx. 200 km.

Booking Terms & Conditions

Booking Notes

• Participants must be 6 years or older, and the minimum number of participants is 2.
• This tour is a local bus tour in Japan, and you will be traveling with Japanese guests. Both Chinese and English notices will be provided in writing. The tour guide can only speak Japanese but will carry a tablet with translation functions. In case of an emergency, you can seek assistance from the tour guide.
• If the tour is canceled, you will be notified via email 4 days prior to the departure date.
• Once booked, you will receive the final itinerary (including details such as meeting points, times, and accommodation) via email 5-7 days before departure.
• The tour guide or service personnel will be holding a Hankyu Travel/Trapics sign (banner or flag). Please carefully look for your route name and check-in with the service personnel after showing your name. It's recommended to gather your companions before heading to the check-in point. If there are any changes in participants, please inform the service personnel in advance.
• The tour does not include a tour guide, only a tour leader who is responsible for managing the schedule and time. Due to Japanese law, the tour leader will not be able to stand and explain during the travel time on the bus. The leader is also not responsible for guiding at sightseeing spots.
• As it is a group tour, based on the bus seat layout and booking status, participants may be seated apart, either in the front or back of the bus. Seat assignments are not available for trains, boats, or buses, so please understand.
• Children aged 6 or older will be charged the same as adults.
• If the train departure point changes to Ueno Station, the meeting point will also be moved to Ueno Station.

Regarding Summer Festivals

• Events may be canceled or altered based on government or local authority requests.
• Light rain will not stop the event, but heavy rain may result in cancellation.
• If you receive the official cancellation notice on the day of the tour, the viewing seat fee will not be refunded.
• The viewing seat type (chair or platform) and location will be decided by the company. No inquiries regarding this will be entertained. On the day of the event, the tour leader will guide you to the seat.
• Please be prepared for the possibility of arriving early at the festival venue, as the sun can be intense during the day. It's recommended to bring a sun hat and equipment to prevent heatstroke and drink plenty of water during the tour.
• Since the events start in the evening, there may be traffic delays causing a late return to the hotel (midnight). The exact return time will depend on traffic conditions.
• The bus driver will follow the regulations for rest time, so you may need to wait for the bus at the Shinkansen stations or hotel departure points on the 1st and 3rd days.
• For Aomori Nebuta Matsuri, Akita Kanto Matsuri, and Aomori Nebuta Matsuri (Sea Running), traffic control will be in place. Participants will need to walk up to 30 minutes from the bus parking lot to the viewing seats. Please wear comfortable walking shoes.
• For the Yamagata Hanagasa Matsuri and Sendai Tanabata Matsuri, the tour will be free to explore, and you are on your own during these activities. Please take care of your personal belongings. Luggage lockers at Yamagata Station or Sendai Station are limited, so please be aware.
• Before the festival starts, you will need to have early dinner (around 16:00-17:00). Please note the meal time interval to avoid missing out on meals.
