Destination Introductions:
Jiufen: Jiufen offers stunning panoramic views of mountains and the ocean. Its scenery varies greatly throughout the year and day, making it a captivating destination. Every window, balcony, and doorstep facing the sea provides a unique perspective of the lush green Jilong Mountain and the vast blue harbor.
Shifen Waterfall: Known as the "Niagara Falls of Taiwan," Shifen Waterfall is a renowned natural attraction in Pingxi District, New Taipei City. Located in the upper reaches of the Keelung River, where numerous waterfalls cascade, the majestic waterfall plunges from a great height, creating a breathtaking sight. The wide and deep pool below is often shrouded in mist, and under the sunlight, it sparkles with a rainbow, earning it the nickname "Rainbow Abyss."
Shifen Old Street: Shifen Old Street is unique for its integration with the railway tracks, offering visitors the novelty of experiencing a train passing right in front of the street. The bustling street is filled with a variety of shops and stalls, where you can purchase a sky lantern to write down your wishes and offer prayers for yourself and loved ones. The nearby Jing'an Suspension Bridge is a popular spot for photos.
Pingxi Railway Line Experience: The Pingxi Line, opened in 1921, has a history of over a century. Originally built to transport coal mined from the mines along the line, the railway faced closure in the 1980s due to the decline of the coal mining industry and population loss. Thanks to the efforts of local residents, it was preserved and has since been transformed into a tourist line.
Houtong Cat Village: Houtong, once a thriving coal mining town, has now become famous for its friendly feline residents. Thanks to the care of local residents and volunteers, cats have become the town's main attraction, and it has even been featured by CNN as one of the top six cat-viewing destinations in the world. The cats here are gentle and unafraid of people, offering visitors a delightful and surprising experience.
Free Time in Houtong: During the Japanese colonial period, Houtong was a center for coal mining. The local coal mine was established by the Yan family of Keelung, one of the five major families in Taiwan, in partnership with the Japanese. It was once the largest single coal mine in Taiwan. After the closure of the coal mine, residents and the government worked together to preserve the coal washing plant and surrounding facilities, allowing visitors to see the remnants of the coal mining industry.

- Shuttle bus: A shuttle bus is required to enter Jiufen on weekends due to restrictions on large vehicles. The fee is NT$15 per person for a round trip and can be paid in cash or using an electronic payment card.
- Sky lanterns in Shifen: Any personal expenses, such as beverages, souvenirs, etc.
- Travel insurance: Travelers are advised to purchase their own travel insurance.
- Any expenses not specified in this itinerary, including optional activities, personal expenses, and tips.
Special Notes:
- Minimum of 1 participant required for this tour. The price is the same for both domestic and international travelers.
- No tipping is required for the tour guide or driver.
- Seat assignments on the tour bus are not available.
- The meeting point is Lion Travel Agency in front of Taipei Main Station (near North Gate 2), and the drop-off point is Taipei 101.
- The tour will depart promptly at the specified time. Latecomers will not be permitted to join the tour and no refunds will be given.
- The walking distance from Shifen Waterfall to Shifen Old Street is approximately 20 minutes.
- The Pingxi Line train ride is complimentary. No refunds will be given if the train is not taken due to personal reasons.
- The walking distance from Houtong Station to the tour bus pick-up point is approximately 15 minutes.
- If you wish to purchase a sky lantern in Shifen Old Street, please release it in designated areas.
- To purchase Taipei 101 Observatory tickets, please inform your tour guide on the day of the tour and pay in cash.

- Infants (under 2 years old) are only charged a fee of NT$200 for insurance and administrative processing. Other expenses are not included.
