YongPyong Fun Ski Festival Introduction

Hosted by YongPyong Resort, Korea’s first ski resort, the YongPyong Fun Ski Festival is an exclusive 4-day, 3-night ski camp designed specifically for foreign visitors. It was first launched in 1998 by the Korea Tourism Organization and the Gangwon Special Self-Governing Province, with Royal Jet Travel joining as a co-organizer in 2004.
Held every winter, the festival includes accommodation, meals, professional ski and snowboard lessons, competitions, cultural experiences, and live performances.
Since its inception, it has attracted participants from Hong Kong, Taiwan, China, Singapore, Malaysia, and many other countries.
The festival offers a comprehensive skiing experience suitable for all levels — from beginners to advanced skiers.

YongPyong Ski Resort Overview

YongPyong Resort, located in Pyeongchang, Gangwon Province, is Korea’s first ski resort and one of its largest, featuring 28 slopes and 15 lifts. It offers a wide range of slopes for all levels, including international competition-standard runs.

• Beginner Slopes: Gentle, wide, and safe slopes ideal for first-time skiers and families, allowing everyone to enjoy skiing comfortably.

• Intermediate Slopes: Perfect for those aiming to improve their technique or take on longer courses. Moderate gradients with turns and variations help skiers enhance control and stability.

• Advanced Slopes: Steep, challenging runs with sharp curves and high-speed sections, offering a thrilling experience for seasoned skiers. Some courses even meet international competition standards for a world-class skiing challenge.

YongPyong Valley Hotel Overview

Located within YongPyong Resort in Pyeongchang, the YongPyong Valley Hotel is a signature accommodation offering year-round leisure experiences.

Itinerary

Day 1

• 07:00 – Pick up at Hongdae Station / 07:30 – Pick up at Myeongdong Station
  (Please arrive on time. Late arrivals are non-refundable.)

• Korean-style lunch en route to YongPyong Resort

• 12:00 – Arrive at resort and check in

• 12:45 – Proceed to ski house to rent ski/snowboard equipment

• 14:00–16:00 – Half-day lesson (Beginner/Intermediate Ski or Snowboard) or free skiing

• 16:00 – Store ski equipment at designated area (location to be announced)

• 17:30 – Welcome Dinner (venue to be announced)

• 19:00–22:00 – Free night skiing (subject to weather and slope conditions)

Day 2

• 07:00–09:00 – Breakfast at banquet hall

• 10:00–12:00 – Morning lesson (Beginner/Intermediate) or free skiing

• Lunch on your own

• 14:00–16:00 – Afternoon lesson (Beginner/Intermediate) or free skiing

• 17:30 – Dinner

  • Registration for Ski/Snowboard Competition (Beginner or Intermediate levels)

• 19:00–22:00 – Free night skiing (subject to conditions)

Day 3

• 07:00–09:00 – Breakfast at banquet hall

• 09:00 – Snow sled experience (location to be announced)

• 10:30 – Ski/Snowboard Competition (location to be announced)

• 16:00 – Return ski/snowboard equipment

Important Notes

• Age restriction: Due to safety reasons, children under 5 years old cannot participate.

• Lesson registration: Participants must confirm their choice (ski or snowboard) before departure. Changes are not allowed afterward.

• Intermediate course policy: No refunds for participants unable to meet skill requirements.

• Instructor ratio:

  • Beginner Class – 1:15

  • Intermediate Class – 1:10

  • Beginner classes are guaranteed to open; Intermediate classes require a minimum of 5 participants.

  • If minimum numbers are not met, classes may be combined with other groups.

Inclusions

• Accommodation: 3 nights at the resort hotel (based on twin sharing)

• Meals: 3 breakfasts + 3 dinners (buffet style)

• Equipment:

  • Ski (skis, poles, boots) or snowboard (board, boots) for 3 days

  • Ski wear and helmet for 3 days (bring your own gloves and goggles)

• Lift Pass: Includes mountain-top gondola (only accessible with ski gear)

  • Beginner: 2 days (Day 2 PM – Day 3 PM)

  • Intermediate: 3 days (Day 1 PM – Day 3 PM)

  • Free Skiers: 3 days (Day 1 PM – Day 3 PM)

• Lessons: Total of 6 hours for Beginner/Intermediate levels

  • Day 1: 14:00–16:00 (2 hours)

  • Day 2: 10:00–12:00 & 14:00–16:00 (4 hours)

• Competition: Fun Ski Snowboard/Ski Race (Men/Women Beginner & Intermediate categories)

• Certificate: Participants completing lessons will receive a training certificate

• Tips: This tour includes a tour guide, HKD75 per person per day, which is already included in the tour price

Accommodation

• Room type: Standard twin (based on 2 persons per room)

  • Single supplement applies for solo travelers.

• Children: Same price as adults (under 5 years old not permitted due to safety reasons)

Transportation & Guide Services

• Shuttle bus (Seoul ↔ YongPyong Resort):

  • 45-seat coach: Chinese-speaking guide + driver

  • 7–15-seat vehicle: Chinese-speaking driver-guide

  • Vehicle size and staffing will depend on participant numbers.

• On-site ski guide arrangements:

  • For 25–45 pax: Full-time Chinese-speaking guide accompanying all 4 days

  • For 7–15 pax: Local Chinese-speaking guide to organize and assist with activities

This product requires double confirmation. After your booking is successfully submitted, you will receive a confirmation email within 48 hours — please check your inbox in time.

How to Use

Please present a printed voucher or show the electronic voucher on your mobile device upon participation.
Meeting details: please arrive at the meeting point at least 15 minutes in advance.

Booking Information

• Sales for this package are available until 24 February 2025.

• A minimum of 2 adults is required to travel together, and prices are per person in HKD.

• This product requires secondary confirmation. After payment, we will submit your booking to the hotel and reply with confirmation via email within 3 working days.
  If the hotel cannot confirm the booking, all paid fees will be fully refunded.

• Please provide your English name exactly as shown on your valid ID (passport/ID card) when booking. Once confirmed, no changes are allowed.

• No-shows will be treated as voluntary cancellation, and no refunds will be given.

• All prices are per person. Room types and availability are limited, first come, first served.

• Hotel rooms are mainly double-bed rooms. If you prefer twin beds, please indicate it in the “Special Remarks” section; arrangements will depend on hotel availability and are subject to final confirmation.

• Each room accommodates a maximum of 2 adults. A 3rd adult or child will incur additional charges according to hotel policy.

• All discounts and services must be used during the stay and cannot be accumulated or transferred.

• Services, facilities, and promotions provided by the hotel are subject to availability. The hotel reserves the right to amend or terminate offers without prior notice.

• If the ski resort is temporarily closed due to weather or maintenance, no refund or change will be provided.

• The hotel and ski resort reserve the right to refuse guests who are intoxicated, under the influence of drugs, gambling, causing disturbance, or engaging in any illegal activities.
