☆★☆★☆ Scenic Spot Highlights ☆★☆★☆

[1] Kunen-an
Famous as one of Saga’s premier autumn foliage viewing spots, Kunen-an was originally the villa of Yataro Itami, a successful industrialist in Saga.
Construction began in 1900 (Meiji 33) under the guidance of a Jōdo Shinshū monk, Awa-shō, and was completed after 9 years, hence the name “Kunen-an” (Nine Years Hermitage).
The villa, built in a sukiya-zukuri (tea house) style, features gardens that borrow the scenery of the Chikushi Plain, with azaleas, maple trees, native plants, and cedar moss creating a serene and beautiful atmosphere.
Normally open only for 9 days, but starting from 2025, the open period will be extended to 16 days.

[2] Mifuneyama Rakuen
Located in Takeo Town, Takeo City, Saga Prefecture, Mifuneyama Rakuen is a garden that offers seasonal beauty throughout the year.
In autumn, the 150,000-tsubo (~50-hectare) garden becomes a spectacular landscape painting, with ponds, tea houses, and colorful leaves in red, gold, yellow, and green, set against the backdrop of 210-meter-high Mt. Mifuneyama.

[3] Seikei Park & Taku Seibyō (Confucian Temple)

• Seikei Park
  A landscape garden built by Hizen coal magnate Yoshiyoshi Takatori as a way of giving back to his hometown. It took 5 years to complete. Visitors can enjoy different scenery in each season, with autumn foliage being the highlight.

• Taku Seibyō (Confucian Temple)
  Together with Ashikaga School in Tochigi Prefecture and Kangogaku School in Okayama Prefecture, Taku Seibyō is considered one of Japan’s “Three Great Confucian Temples.”
  In the Edo period, local lord Shigefumi Taku built this temple dedicated to Confucius and opened a school that welcomed both samurai and commoners—an extraordinary concept for its time.
  The spirit of learning and respect has been handed down through generations, and Taku City is still known as a place of education. The temple is also a well-known local autumn foliage spot.

• Children aged 3 to under 6 are only provided with a bus seat (no other inclusions; admission fees to attractions must be paid separately).

• ※ This is a local bus tour in Japan and will be joined by Japanese participants. Notes will be provided in both Chinese and English.
  The accompanying tour conductor speaks only Japanese, but will carry a tablet with translation functions. In case of emergency, you may ask the tour conductor for assistance.
