【Attractions Introduction】

Suwa Lake Fireworks Festival

The Suwa Lake Fireworks Festival, held annually in Nagano Prefecture, is one of Japan's most important fireworks events, attracting over 500,000 visitors each year. With over 40,000 fireworks launched, it boasts the largest number of fireworks fired in Japan!
Suwa Lake, the venue of the festival, is the largest lake in Nagano Prefecture and is said to have inspired the movie Your Name.
The festival consists of two stages:

  • The first stage features a competition among 10 skilled pyrotechnicians, each showcasing their creativity and artistry.

  • The second stage, "Kiss of Fire," lights up the entire night sky, as semicircular fireworks launched from the lake gradually connect with those fired from the floating platform "Hatsushima," forming a breathtaking 2,000-meter-high dome of cascading fireworks.
The booming sounds echoing through the valleys add a powerful impact to the spectacle.

Notes:

  • After arriving near the venue, the tour guide will lead you to the designated seating area.

  • Before the fireworks start, you are free to explore the nearby night market and enjoy local delicacies.

  • Due to heavy crowds, please carry your valuables with you at all times.

  • Reserved group seating is provided (shared with other group participants).

  • A bento box dinner is included; please consume it early due to hygiene considerations.

【Important Notes for Fireworks Festival Participants】

If this is your first time attending a fireworks festival in Japan, please refer to the following tips:

  • The festival takes place in summer. During the free time before the show, please ensure proper sun protection.

  • As the event is held near a lakeside with variable terrain, wear comfortable and non-slip shoes and clothing.

  • Although garbage bins are provided, due to the huge crowds, please bring your own trash bag, tissues, and wet wipes.

  • As the event continues late into the evening, please bring a small light source if possible.

  • Mobile network congestion is highly likely due to the massive crowds; please be prepared.

  • Drones are strictly prohibited for safety reasons.

  • After the fireworks, the bus will depart for the hotel. Arrival is expected around 00:40 the next day.

【Other Highlight Attractions】

Yokoteyama "Tenku View Terrace"

Located at an altitude of approximately 2,300 meters, Yokoteyama Ski Resort is the highest ski resort in Japan.
From the summit’s "Tenku View Terrace," you can enjoy panoramic views of Shiga Kogen and, on clear days, the Japanese Alps.
Special arrangements include a ride on Japan's longest escalator, "SKYLATOR," followed by a gondola lift to reach the summit — a unique and memorable ascent experience!

Kusatsu Onsen

Kusatsu Onsen in Gunma Prefecture boasts the highest natural flow rate of any hot spring in Japan, with over 32,300 liters of hot water per minute.
It is one of the "Three Famous Springs of Japan," alongside Arima Onsen and Gero Onsen, and has been voted Japan’s number one hot spring for over 20 consecutive years.
At the center of the hot spring town lies "Yubatake," the symbol of Kusatsu, where visitors can observe hot spring water being cooled naturally and witness the collection of "onsen flowers."
You can also enjoy local specialties, unique souvenirs, and witness the traditional "Yumomi" dance at Netsu-no-Yu theater.
Public baths such as "Otaki-no-Yu," "Gozanoyu," and "Sainokawara Rotenburo" offer distinctive bathing experiences — don’t miss them during your stay!

Akeno Sunflower Fields

From late July to late August, over 600,000 sunflowers bloom in Akeno, Yamanashi Prefecture, creating stunning golden landscapes against the backdrop of the majestic Japanese Alps.
Thanks to the region's long sunlight hours — the longest in Japan — visitors are treated to a truly spectacular summer scene.

Shiraito Falls

One of Karuizawa’s iconic attractions, Shiraito Falls is about 3 meters tall and 70 meters wide.
Unlike ordinary waterfalls, its waters come from underground springs, cascading softly over the rock surface like countless silky threads, creating a magical and serene atmosphere.
