(Kochi) Yosakoi Festival

Experience the lively summer tradition of southern Tosa up close—filled with energy and color!
Every year, the Yosakoi Festival attracts over one million fans to witness approximately 20,000 dancers perform across the city in colorful dance teams. The entire town is enveloped in festive spirit!

Awa Odori Dance Festival

~ A 400-year-old tradition and one of Japan’s three major Bon Odori dances ~

“The dancing fools and the watching fools”—come to Tokushima and enjoy the most authentic Awa Odori performance!
Originating in Tokushima, Awa no Kuni, the Awa Odori is one of Japan’s top three Bon dance festivals.
With a history of around 400 years, it is celebrated all over Tokushima Prefecture.
The largest and most famous version is held in Tokushima City.
Note: On Day 2 (Tokushima), only the first part of the Awa Odori performance will be viewed. The second part is not included. Thank you for your understanding.
In case of rain or storm, the festival may be canceled (light rain will not affect the event). Final decisions are made on the day of the festival, so the tour will proceed as scheduled regardless.

Day 1

• Meeting Point & Time: Umeda 9:50 AM

• Depart Umeda at 10:00 AM

• View of Akashi Kaikyo Bridge from the bus window

• Free sightseeing in Kochi City

• Attend Kochi Yosakoi Festival

• Arrive at hotel in Marugame City (around 21:00–22:00) ＜Overnight stay＞

Day 2

• Depart hotel at 10:00 AM for a relaxed morning

• Visit Kotohira-gu Shrine and enjoy free time for lunch (lunch not included) ＜Approx. 2 hours total＞

• Free sightseeing in Tokushima City

• Attend Tokushima Awa Odori
  ＜Free dinner [dinner cost not included]; total time including dinner and reserved seat viewing: approx. 3 hours＞

• Return to Umeda (arrive around 22:30–23:00)
  ＜Total bus travel distance: approx. 298 km＞

Important Notes

• This tour is a local Japanese bus tour and will be conducted alongside Japanese travelers. Important notes will be provided in both Chinese and English in written form.

• The tour escort accompanying the bus speaks only Japanese but will carry a tablet with translation functions. In case of emergency, you may ask the escort for assistance.

Regarding Tours Not Yet Confirmed for Departure

• If the tour is canceled due to insufficient participants, you will be notified by email 4 days prior to departure.

• Final tour documents (including meeting location, time, itinerary reference, and hotel information) will be sent via email 5–7 days before departure.

• The escort or staff will hold a sign that says "Hankyu Travel / Trapics." Please check your tour name carefully and check in by showing your name to the staff. Please gather with your travel companions in advance before checking in. If there are any changes to your group on the day, please inform the staff immediately.

• This tour does not include a tour guide. Only a tour escort will accompany the group (responsible for schedule and time management). According to Japanese law, the escort cannot stand and explain during bus travel, and will not provide sightseeing commentary.

• As this is a group tour, bus seat arrangements are subject to availability and seat configuration. Even if you book as a pair, you may be seated separately (front and back rows). Seat preferences for buses, trains, or ferries cannot be accommodated. Thank you for your understanding.

• Minimum 2 participants required per booking.

• For 2-person plans, children aged 6 and above are charged the same as adults.

• For 2-person plans, children aged 3 to under 6 will only be provided a bus seat (no other services or inclusions).

• Itinerary confirmation and meeting location details will be provided in English only. Printed itineraries are usually not provided on the day of departure, so please take a screenshot or print the information from the official website if needed.

• If your itinerary in the member page appears in Japanese, please refer to the English version on this page as the official itinerary.

• On Day 1, the festival starts in the evening, so the hotel arrival time is estimated to be around 21:00–22:00.

• Meals are not included in the tour. Please arrange your own lunch and dinner at the sightseeing spots (at your own expense).

• On Day 2 (Tokushima), only the first part of the Awa Odori performance will be viewed. The second part is not included. Thank you for your understanding.

• All images used are from past festivals and are for reference only.

• As of March 13, 2025, festival details and seating arrangements have not yet been announced.

• Festivals may be canceled or altered based on government or local authority decisions. Please only book this tour after understanding and accepting these possibilities.

• The bus is equipped with a restroom, but due to safety belt regulations, it may only be used when the bus is completely stopped. Thank you for your understanding.

Booking Confirmation

• This product requires double confirmation. After a successful booking, a confirmation email will be sent within 48 hours. Please check your inbox promptly.

• If the minimum number of participants is not met, you will be notified of the tour cancellation 4 days prior to departure via email.

How to Use

• Please present either a printed voucher or a mobile e-voucher when joining the tour.

• Meeting details: Please arrive at the meeting point at least 15 minutes in advance.

• If you arrive early, please wait patiently near the designated meeting location.
