[Attraction Introductions]
Mojiko Port (Approx. 150 minutes)
Mojiko Port is a historic port city in Fukuoka Prefecture, Japan. Here, you can find well-preserved old dock buildings and warehouses, immersing yourself in the rich port atmosphere. Additionally, there are museums and cultural heritage sites where you can delve deeper into the history and culture of Mojiko.
Kanmon Ferry Experience
One of the highlights of the Kanmon Ferry is its short operating time—it takes just a few minutes to cross the Kanmon Strait, making it the fastest way to travel between Fukuoka and Yamaguchi. On board, you can enjoy spectacular ocean views and the scenic beauty of both shores.
Starting from May 1, 2025, the tickets for the Kanmon liaison ship will no longer be included, and passengers will need to purchase tickets at their own expense.
Karato Market (Lunch at Your Own Expense)
The first floor of Karato Market has been transformed into a vibrant seafood stall street called "Bargain Makan Street." Here, you’ll find an array of delicacies made from fresh ingredients, including nigiri sushi, miso soup, fried dishes, and, of course, fugu (pufferfish) sashimi. If you love seafood or Japanese cuisine, this is a must-visit spot.
Tsunoshima Bridge (Approx. 30 minutes)
Tsunoshima Bridge connects mainland Yamaguchi with Tsunoshima Island and is a magnificent structure. You can admire the stunning ocean views and the architectural beauty of the bridge. Standing on the bridge, you’ll overlook the azure sea and surrounding landscapes—an unforgettable sightseeing spot.
Motonosumi Shrine (Approx. 40 minutes)
Built in 1955 after receiving a divine message brought by a white fox, this shrine was spiritually divided from Taikodani Inari Shrine in Tsuwano, Shimane Prefecture. Along the path from the Ryugu Shiofuki attraction to the shrine, there are 123 striking red torii gates. If you look closely at the torii gate on the shrine’s high platform... you’ll notice the offering box is placed overhead! It’s said that if you successfully toss in a coin, your wish will come true.
