About Hakuba Goryu Ski Resort
Located at the entrance of Hakuba Mountain with spectacular views of the Northern Alps, Hakuba Goryu is renowned for its long snow season (late November to Golden Week in May) and was one of the ski venues for the 1998 Nagano Winter Olympics. It is one of Japan’s premier ski destinations, famous for heavy snowfall and dry, fluffy powder snow.
-
For all levels: From complete beginners to advanced skiers, the variety of runs accommodates everyone. IIMORI is ideal for soft beginner slopes, while TOOMI and ALPS offer ungroomed terrain and powder runs for advanced skiers.
-
Powder Snow: Hakuba’s low moisture and below-freezing temperatures create fluffy, cushiony powder snow, making skiing smoother and more enjoyable. Beginners fall without much pain, while advanced skiers enjoy the floating sensation in deep snow.
-
Facilities: ALPS, TOOMI, and IIMORI areas include competition slopes, mogul runs, snow parks, and children’s zones. Dedicated staff provide daily grooming to ensure safe and comfortable skiing conditions.
