First Stop: Kamishikimi Kumanoimasu Shrine
Start your day with a visit to Kamishikimi Kumanoimasu Shrine, a peaceful and mysterious shrine nestled deep in the forest. Surrounded by ancient towering trees and moss-covered stone steps, it feels like stepping back in time. Don’t forget to draw a fortune slip for good luck on your journey!

Second Stop: Mount Aso Nakadake Crater
Next, take a bus to the Nakadake Crater—one of the world’s largest active volcanoes! Standing on the rim, you’ll witness plumes of smoke rising from the crater, feeling the raw power of the Earth beneath you. It’s a truly awe-inspiring sight. Be sure to wear comfortable shoes and bring a light jacket, as it can be windy. If volcanic activity restricts access, you’ll visit the nearby Aso Volcano Museum instead.

Third Stop: Kusasenri Grassland

• 07:30 Meet at Hakata Station (Chikushi Exit)

• 07:40 Depart

• 10:30 Kamishikimi Kumanoimasu Shrine (approx. 45 mins)
  A hidden spiritual gem surrounded by pristine forest. Featured in Hotarubi no Mori e and Natsume’s Book of Friends, the shrine’s moss-covered steps lined with nearly 100 stone lanterns create an ethereal atmosphere.

• 12:00 Mount Aso Nakadake Crater (approx. 20 mins)
  The only continuously active crater in the Aso caldera. Measuring 600 meters across and 130 meters deep, its steaming vents create a dramatic and unforgettable view.

• 12:30 Kusasenri Grassland (approx. 60 mins)
  Enjoy lunch at your own expense. This vast circular grassland, about 1 km in diameter, features a small pond at its center—perfect for taking photos or a relaxing walk. In summer, the sight of cattle and horses grazing under blue skies offers pure serenity.

• 14:30 Kurokawa Onsen (approx. 90 mins)
  A renowned hot spring village with around 30 ryokan inns, offering a truly authentic Japanese experience. Relax in open-air baths, savor kaiseki meals, and unwind in traditional tatami rooms surrounded by nature.

• 18:00 Return to Hakata Station (Chikushi Exit) — End of Tour

Notes

• In the event of severe weather conditions such as typhoons or snowstorms, a decision on whether the tour will be canceled will be made by 6:00 PM (local time) one day prior to departure. Guests will be notified promptly via email.

• Please arrive at the designated meeting point at least 10 minutes before departure. The tour will depart on time; latecomers will not be accommodated.

• Vehicle type will be adjusted according to the number of participants. For small group tours, the driver may also serve as the tour conductor.

• No refunds will be given for lateness, cancellations, or no-shows due to personal reasons.

• No refunds will be issued if a participant chooses to leave the tour midway for personal reasons.

• The schedule and duration of each stop may be adjusted due to traffic conditions, maintenance, or other factors.

• The company will not be responsible for cancellations, delays, or unsatisfactory scenery due to force majeure such as weather or traffic conditions. No refunds or rescheduling will be provided in such cases.

• Please make sure to arrive at the designated meeting place on time. Since this is a fixed-schedule day tour, late arrivals or mid-route participation are not permitted, and any resulting loss will be the traveler’s responsibility.

• In case of heavy snow or rain, the Kusasenri Grassland visit will be replaced with Shirakawa Spring.

• This tour does not include personal travel or accident insurance. Participants are encouraged to purchase their own insurance if necessary. Outdoor activities and high-risk experiences involve certain risks; please assess your health and abilities before joining. The company assumes no liability for injuries or accidents caused by unforeseen circumstances.

• From now on, if Mount Aso’s crater area is closed, the itinerary will include Senbazuru Deer Park or extended time at Kurokawa Onsen instead.

• This product requires double confirmation. After your booking is successfully made, you will receive a confirmation email within 48 hours. Please check your inbox promptly.

• If the minimum number of participants is not met, a cancellation notice will be sent 4 days before departure via email.
