Attraction Highlights

Oirase Stream
Located within Towada-Hachimantai National Park in Aomori Prefecture, Oirase Stream is designated as a National Scenic Spot and Natural Monument. Stretching approximately 14 km, the stream features numerous waterfalls along its course. Walking along the trail, visitors can admire waterfalls of various sizes, crystal-clear streams, and tall forest trees forming a natural green tunnel. In summer, the vibrant green forest and pristine water make it a popular cool retreat, offering a refreshing experience. In autumn, the foliage turns brilliant shades of red, yellow, and green, creating one of Aomori’s most stunning natural landscapes—a must-visit spot for autumn leaf viewing.

Lake Towada
Spanning Aomori and Akita Prefectures, Lake Towada is a double volcanic lake formed approximately 20 million years ago from volcanic eruptions. The emerald-clear water exudes a mystical atmosphere, showcasing different scenic moods throughout the seasons: spring with fresh green leaves, autumn with vibrant red reflections on the lake, and winter with snow-covered scenery resembling a fairyland. Observation decks offer panoramic views of the lake from multiple angles. The surrounding area features a visitor center, aquarium, museum, and lakeside hot springs, making it one of Aomori’s most popular attractions.

Hirosaki Park
Located in Aomori Prefecture, Hirosaki Park is one of the “Top 100 Cherry Blossom Spots in Japan”. The park features Hirosaki Castle, a hilltop-style castle with a fully preserved main keep, designated as an Important Cultural Property. In autumn, the vibrant red maple leaves create a beautiful contrast with the historic castle. The combination of sky, castle, foliage, and bridges creates a stunning layered view. The park’s maple trees form a magnificent foliage tunnel, captivating all visitors.

※ The bus will stop at the Tsugaru Neputa Village parking lot. Visitors may optionally choose to enter Tsugaru Han Neputa Village (admission not included).
Tsugaru Han Neputa Village simulates the famous Hirosaki Neputa Festival, one of the top three festivals in Tohoku, held annually in Aomori City, Hirosaki City, and Goshogawara City in August. The village displays Neputa lanterns, festival music performances, and live Tsugaru shamisen shows, with guides explaining the festival’s history. Visitors can also enjoy traditional Tsugaru crafts and purchase local handicrafts and souvenirs.

• The guide may adjust the length of stay at foliage spots according to the autumn leaves condition. Thank you for your understanding.

• During peak foliage season, traffic congestion or bad weather may cause delays. If you need to connect to other transportation after the tour, please allow sufficient buffer time. Any additional costs incurred due to missed connections will be the responsibility of the traveler.

• Comfortable clothing and walking shoes are recommended. Please also bring warm and rainproof clothing as needed.
